Chris Hedges Report  July 23, 2026

In the opening chapter of Maria Gashot’s book, Crime and No Punishment: Wealth, Power, and Violence in America, a chapter titled Social Murder, she writes, “The United States is an exceptionally militarized, lethal, and violent country.
